Other features include Acura/ELS Surround® Premium 8-speaker Sound System with 6-disc CD, DVD-Audio, CD-DA, MP3 and and other distinctive features. The Type-S models have additional components such as Active Noise Control, HomeLink®, Acura Navigation System with Voice Recognition (TM) etc., AcuraLink (TM) Satellite Communication System with real time traffic and a GPS Linked System to name a few.
The safety features incorporated into the Acura TL Series, to protect the occupants should there be an accident, is imposing comprising of Front Side Airbags with passenger-side Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS), Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH) child-seat mounting and 4-Wheel Anti-Braking System (ABS) to name a few.
Coming to the security aspect, the car comes with Remote Keyless Entry, a utility which can be used to unlock the driver’s door with a single button press and all the doors with another press. The remote also sports a panic button which sounds the horn and switches on the headlights. An added alarm system, should a break-in be attempted, activates the horn, the headlights and renders inoperative the ignition.
